Single-Shaft Shredder Series PN is low-speed shredder used for shredding a diverse smaller wood residues. The machine is equipped with a movable thrust-type hopper upon the frame’s traveling gear, this hopper is being operated by a hydraulic mechanism. The hopper’s movement is cyclical. When the hopper’s rotor-side position is reached, the hopper moves backward, another stock falls down into the released area, and the hopper moves towards the rotor again. This design prevents the lager parts of the residue that is being processed from getting jammed. The blades separate the stock against a counter-blade; the stock is being pulled down under the rotor, passing through a separating screen that is mounted in the machine column under the rotor. Finished chips are discharged into the area below the separating screen. The further chip transport takes place according to the specific conditions and requirements of the customer.

The machine can operate without need of operators presence. The machine operates on lower noise level and can be installed inside the plants. Dustiness depends on the type and humidity of the processed material. The Single-shaft shredder series PN must be installed at least under the roof in order to be prevented from direct influences of weather.
